Sono Range

The introduction of uncrewed vehicles has fundamentally changed how we operate in the underwater domain. Where mission success is critical, the ability to improve our acoustic systems is a non-negotiable requirement.

Our SONO Range is transforming how these hybrid fleets connect and sense their surroundings. High-performance acoustic transducer technology delivers wide-band communication telemetry and high-sensitivity sensing across the full ocean depth. Operating where traditional signals fail, the SONO Range ensures seamless coordination and mission integrity in the world’s most challenging waters.

How it works

The SONO Range utilizes high-specification piezoelectric transducers to convert electrical signals into precise underwater acoustic waves for communication and sensing. By operating across a wide frequency spectrum, these systems maintain high-fidelity telemetry and signal projection even in complex, high-noise environments. This allows underwater systems to exchange data or detect acoustic signatures at varying depths with industry-leading reliability.

Where it works

The SONO Range is engineered to perform across the full spectrum of maritime environments, from the high-pressure demands of deep-sea ocean science to the stealth requirements of modern submarine fleets. Whether integrated into seafloor monitoring stations or deployed on autonomous platforms, it delivers mission-critical reliability in everything from shallow coastal waters to the most remote open-ocean frontiers.

Why the Sono Range

High-fidelity acoustics on crewed and uncrewed platforms ensure superior mission execution with a reduced risk of signal loss in contested environments. By delivering reliable performance across a wide operational spectrum, the SONO Range provides the critical link needed to maintain a tactical edge in an increasingly congested domain.

Vigilant FLS Features

SONO Comms

A low frequency, high power projector-receiver transducer, active over 7 kHz to 16 kHz. These transducers have a broadband response and are rated to full ocean depth.

SONO Sphere

Reciprocal transducers with a nominal resonant frequency at 12 kHz. SONO Sphere is horizontally omni-directional with a vertical directionality greater than 270°.

SONO Source

High-power transducer including an integrated tuning element to produce a wide and flat transmit response. These transducers can be used in both a receive and transmit mode.
